Iquique artisanal fisherman’s dock allow the self-employed fishermans to work and sell their products.
Mr. Muñoz is one of the local fisherman of Iquique port, that in the 2018 The Future School could meet during a Expedition. In such instance the fisherman could address some of the issues they have been facing due the Climate Change, such as higher temperatures than threat the populations of fish and plankton.
Most of the fishermans have done this work all their lifes and are proud of it. Mr. Muñoz and others like him, are not only affected by climate change, but by the big fishing industry that have enlarge their quotas and reduce the sustainable extraction on coastal areas.
Climate Change Advocacy – Chilean Expedition aims to know by their own actors how is Climate Change affecting their lifes from first hand.
