Lucie Tučná‘s career started after completing her studies at Charles University in Prague in 1978, where her field of study was English and Japanology. Lucie Tučná is an expert in a variety of techniques in surface design. She attended a private school of textile art techniques specializing in blueprint (in Czech “Modrotisk”).
Since then she has been designing fashion and working in historic fabric conservation studios. Lucie Tučná has presented her works at exhibitions in the Czech Republic, France, and Belgium from 1981-2006. In 1997, she established together with Jiřina Pivoňková the Fashion and Textile Gallery, Original Moda—including a shop focused on textile art, fashion, tapestry and other art and craft products.
